Calcutts Celebrate 50th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Calcutt Sr. celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary April 18, 2008. They were married at Springville Hall, where they now reside, by Reverend William Jones.
Their children are Ms. Kathy-Calcutt Brown of Florence, Mr. and Mrs. Ron and Genise Calcutt Jr. of Darlington, and Mrs. Marie Calcutt Burdick and Mr. Glen Burdick of Darlington. They have five grandchildren: Mrs. Elizabeth Brown Miller and Matt Miller of Rock Hill, Ashley Brown of Clemson and Florence, Trey and Lee Calcutt of Darlington, and Mikie Burdick of Darlington. They have one great grandchild, Luke Miller of Rock Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. Calcutt attend First Baptist Church in Darlington.
Mr. Calcutt is Darlington’s Branch Manager and Vice-President of Diamond Hill Plywood where he has worked for forty-six years. Mrs. Calcutt is a retiree from Darlington County School District. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and great grandchild. They love to attend their grandchildren’s ball games, and enjoy touring old homes and historical sites.
Mrs. Calcutt’s parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lee Atkinson Sr. of Darlington, and Mr. Calcutt’s parents are Mrs. Eloise Calcutt Turner and the late Mr. B.J. Calcutt Sr. of Pamplico.

Low-Rowlett Wedding
Melissa Rachael Low of Gaston, daughter of Mr. Louis Joffe and Ms. Jeanne Carlson of Baltimore, MD, married Dirk Aaron Rowlett of Gaston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rowlett of Darlington, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2008, in a double ring ceremony.
They were married by Ms. Kay Weinberg of Darlington at Saluda Shoals in Columbia in an outside ceremony.
Louis Joffe and Zachary Evan Low gave the bride away.
Miss Maria Giugliano of Irmo was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Geah Pressgrove of Columbia and Miss Ashley Graham of Irmo.
The flower girl was Miss Logan Scott Reynolds of Darlington, niece of the groom.
Mr. Ken Rowlett of Darlington, father of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Neil Minton of Walterboro, Mr. R.J. O’Neal of Florence and Mr. Greg Pigate of Irmo.
The reception was held at River Center at Saluda Shoals in Columbia.
Melissa is a graduate of University of Maryland and is employed by Ashley Home Furniture. Dirk is a graduate of University of South Carolina and is employed by Beverage South.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kirby
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kirby wish to announce their marriage, which took place on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Lee’s Wedding Chapel in Florence. Mrs. Kirby is the daughter of the late Mr. Lawrence Grayson and Mrs. Inez Streett of Darlington.
Mr. Kirby is the son of Olea and Almeda Kirby of Sumter.
The couple will reside in Darlington.
