Edwards-Newman Wedding
Elizabeth Belk Edwards and David John Newman were married Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Mt. Pleasant, SC. The Reverend Tom Herrington officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by a reception on Sullivan’s Island.
Mrs. Newman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Linnwood Foil Edwards of Spartanburg, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lucian King of Darlington, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Robert Edwards of Spartanburg, SC. She is a graduate of Clemson University and is an interior designer with Kathleen Rivers Interior Design in Charleston, SC.
Mr. Newman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph Keho of Merritt Island, FL, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kenneth Newman of Bridgeport, MI. He is the grandson of Mrs. John Albert Horn and the late Mr. John Albert Horn of Fenton, MI, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Meyer Newman of Linden, MI. He is a graduate of Ferris State University and is project manager with Bode Construction in Charleston, SC.
Miss Jane Marie Edwards of Spartanburg, SC, sister of the bride, attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Leslie Springs McClure, of Jacksonville, FL, and Miss SaraAnn King Fagan, of Hartsville, SC, both cousins of the bride.
Honorary bridesmaids were Mrs. Mary Catherine Cecil, Miss Katherine Diane Foy, Miss Catherine Deitrick Johnston, Miss Amber Leigh Sweigart, and Mrs. Lara Clark Winburn.
Mr. Richard Kenneth Newman served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jody Mishall of Linden, MI, and Mr. John Francis Robinson of Wando, SC.
Ushers were Mr. Scott Cameron Batchelor, Mr. Samuel Peyre Cleveland, Mr. Bret James Miller, and Mr. Raed Sahouri.
After a trip to Costa Rica, the couple will make their home in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

Rhodes-Dickerson Wedding
Lyndsey Erin Rhodes of Charlotte and James Michale Dickson of Charleston were married at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Central Baptist Church. Reverend Timothy Coker performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Edwin Rhodes of Darlington. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Shirley Martin Kimrey, the late Mr. Jack Wilson Kimrey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rollins William Rhodes. She is a graduate of Betty Stevens Cosmetology and is employed by Modern Salon and Spa in Charlotte.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Mark Dickson of Charleston. He is the grandson of Mrs. Sang Im Lee Yi, the late Mr. Jong Yel Choe, and the late Mrs. Betty Jean Dixon. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and is employed by Beneficial.
The Maid of Honor was Miss Robin Page Parker, cousin of the bride. The Matron of Honor was Mrs. Stephanie Parker Marshburn, cousin of the bride. The Best Man was Mr. David Mark Dickson, father of the groom.
The bridesmaids were Mrs. Summer O’Neal Floyd, Mrs. Faith Ziegler Hill, Miss Tonya Renee O’Neal, Mrs. Chapell O’Neal Rainwater and Mrs. Heather McKay Willis.
The groomsmen were Mr. Jason Cribb, Mr. Jeffrey Dickson, brother of the groom, Mr. Frank Mason, Mr. Randon Rhodes, brother of the bride, and Mr. Jeremy Seben.
The Junior Bride’s Attendant was Miss Sarah Carolina Isgett. The Junior Groom’s Attendant was John Thomas Isgett, III.
The program attendants were Thomas Joseph Rogers and James Clayton Rodgers, and James Clayton Rodgers, cousins of the bride.
A reception followed at Florence Country Club.
After a wedding trip to South Africa the couple will live in Charlotte.
